Engelwood Group is a distinguished financial services company that provides customized solutions with a high degree of expertise. The group consists of two autonomous entities: Engelwood Fund & Corporate Services S.A., serving as an independent provider of financial and corporate services, and Engelwood Asset Management S.A., serving as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager.

The team

As a valued member of the Risk & Valuation department, you will join a dynamic team responsible for appraising assets associated with regulated Alternative Investment Funds. Our team comprises young and dynamic professionals who are enthusiastic about accurately evaluating intricate strategies, including private equity, private debt, and real estate investments.

Your role:

  • Gather and organize the data required for the valuation of managed assets.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to obtain relevant information.
  • Examine the financial statements of companies in which the fund has invested.
  • Analyse research reports and market publications to understand sectoral trends.
  • Participate in building financial models to assess the future performance of assets.
  • Update existing models based on market changes or new information.
  • Assist in the valuation of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, derivatives, private equity, real estate assets, etc.
  • Participate in due diligence missions for potential new investments.
  • Verify the quality of data and models used for valuation.
  • Prepare periodic reports on asset performance for fund managers and investors.
  • Contribute to the preparation of regulatory reports in accordance with local and international requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory and normative developments in the field of asset valuation.
  • Ensure that valuation methodologies comply with current standards.
  • Work closely with other departments such as investment management, compliance, and operations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on investment decisions.

Minimum profile requirements:

  • Master’s degree in finance or economics currently in the final year of study.
  • Fluency in English and French is mandatory (written and spoken), any other European language could be a plus.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets, investment instruments and accounting principles.
  • Extensive knowledge of Excel.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring precise valuations and data integrity.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate valuation methodologies and present findings to team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across different departments within the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Rigorous, precise, curious.

The position will be available starting July 1, 2024, or January 1, 2025, for a period of 6 months.
