Engelwood Asset Management S.A. is active in fund structuring, asset management and asset services. The company was founded in July 2001 and was renamed Engelwood Asset Management S.A. in July 2019.
Engelwood Asset Management S.A. is a CSSF regulated third party AIFM (European Alternative Investment Fund Manager) in Luxembourg.
Due to the increase in current and future business, we are currently looking for an Risk – Officer to join our company.
Key responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze data to identify and assess risks associated with the AIFM’s managed assets across various asset classes, including equities, bonds, private equity, real estate, and infrastructure.
- Evaluate financial statements to assess exposure, liquidity, credit risk, and other potential vulnerabilities.
- Monitor market trends, macroeconomic developments, and geopolitical events to identify emerging risks and their potential impact on the portfolio.
- Support the development and execution of risk models, including stress tests, sensitivity analyses, and scenario planning, to quantify potential impacts.
- Validate risk assumptions used in valuation and performance models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the AIFM’s risk framework.
- Conduct in-depth risk reviews during due diligence processes for new investments, focusing on operational, financial, and market risk factors.
- Actively contribute to investment oversight by providing risk-based recommendations and insights to support decision-making.
- Participate in Valuation Committee meetings, providing a risk management perspective on valuation methodologies, assumptions, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with valuation experts to ensure risk factors are adequately considered and integrated into the valuation process.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of risk data used for internal and external reporting.
- Prepare and submit regulatory risk reports, such as AIFMD Annex IV and CSSF filings, in a timely manner.
- Track and analyze regulatory developments to ensure compliance and integrate new requirements into the risk management processes.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and periodic review of the AIFM’s risk management framework, ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures to reflect changes in the risk landscape and regulatory environment.
- Liaise with internal teams (portfolio management, compliance, operations) and external stakeholders (administrators, auditors, regulators) to gather and share relevant risk information.
- Foster a culture of risk awareness across departments and provide training or mentorship to team members when necessary.
- Actively participate in internal Risk Committees, presenting analyses, contributing to discussions, and supporting the oversight of investment activities.
Minimum profile requirements:
- Master’s degree in finance or economics with a specialization in Financial Reporting and Sustainability.
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, Python and VBA.
- At least one professional experience in Risk Management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong business ethic and a distinctive passion for servicing clients.
- High level of communication skills, both written and oral.
- Rigorous, precise, curious.
- Ability to work in team or independently with a pro-active “can-do” attitude.
- Fluency in English is mandatory (written and spoken), any other European language could be a plus.
