  • Gathering and validating market data from various sources (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv, fund administrators, custodians).
  • Performing reconciliations and variance analyses to detect discrepancies and escalate issues to senior team members.
  • Applying established valuation methodologies under supervision, in line with internal policies and market standards (IFRS, AIFMD).
  • Supporting the preparation of valuation reports and documentation for internal committees, auditors, regulators, and investors.
  • Monitoring market events and movements that could impact the valuation of listed instruments and funds.
  • Contributing to the improvement of valuation processes and internal controls through participation in ad-hoc projects and system enhancements.

Secondary responsibilities – Illiquid assets (support role):

  • Assisting the senior valuation officer in collecting financial and operational data related to Private Equity, Real Estate, and Private Debt investments.
  • Supporting the preparation of valuation files, models, and documentation for illiquid assets.
  • Participating in valuation committee meetings as an observer, gradually gaining exposure to valuation practices for alternative investments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collect, organize, and validate market data required for the valuation of liquid and listed assets, including equities, bonds, UCITS funds, hedge funds, and structured products.
  • Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly Net Asset Values (NAVs) by ensuring the accuracy of prices and inputs used in the valuation
    process.
  • Perform price sourcing using multiple data providers (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv. administrators) and ensure consistency through reconciliation and variance analysis.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of valuation methodologies aligned with internal policies and industry standards (e.g., IFRS, AIFMD).
  • Conduct basic financial analysis on underlying funds and instruments, reviewing factsheets, performance reports, and market trends.
  • Monitor unusual valuation movements and escalate discrepancies or issues to senior team members.
  • Work closely with internal teams (portfolio management, risk management, compliance, operations) and external parties (fund administrators, custodians, auditors) to ensure timely and accurate valuations.
  • Assist in preparing reports and dashboards for internal committees, regulators, and investors, focusing on valuation data and portfolio transparency.
  • Support the senior valuation officer in specific tasks related to illiquid assets, including data gathering, documentation, and exposure to valuation methodologies used for Private Equity, Real Estate, and Private Debt.
  • Stay informed on market developments and regulatory updates that could impact the valuation of both listed and illiquid assets.
